Let People Schedule Meetings with You with Tungle.me

If you’re too busy to respond to those emails asking “When is a good time to meet” try Tungle.me.  This app integrates with your  calendar (Google, Outlook, iCal, Facebook, and others) and shows when you’re busy and free.

Run Weekly and Monthly Budget Reports in Less Than 2 Minutes

Picture 1

If you haven’t checked out mint.com yet, I would suggest it.  It is a free personal finance online application that runs beautiful reports on your finances for you.

You do have to give it some information about your bank, so folks weary about giving away finance information online may not be interested.  However, I have been using it for a while, and love it.

Think Google Analytics for your finances.  Plus, it will send you weekly reports showing if you are under or over budget.

Find out more at http://www.mint.com/.

Save a paper towel and air dry in way less than two minutes

I know some people won’t open a bathroom door without a paper towel, but if the situation allows for it, you can air dry your hands and save on the paper (or on the machine air dryer).

If you rub your hands together they will dry well before 2 minutes are up.  Over the course of one’s lifetime of doing this, that is some signifant paper saving.

Save Time and Cook Your Greens in Your Rice Cooker

This may not apply to everyone, but if you have a rice cooker and enjoy green leafy veggies for dinner you can save some time and stove space.

Just put your fresh greens, like spinach, into your rice cooker with some water and you’ll have steamed veggies in no time.  Plus you don’t have to take up another pan to cook with!

Just keep an eye on the cooker, because it may overcook them.

Take 2 Minutes To Thin Out (or Enhance) Your RSS Feeds

I am assuming that readers will already be using an RSS feed of some sort.

For many of us, missing a few days of our feeds means that we have hundreds of articles to sift through.  Sometimes it can take us hours or days to catch up with everything we missed.  Or we give up and mark everything as read.

Next time you are in your feed reader, take a few moments to look through your feeds two types of feeds:

  • Feeds you don’t read
  • Feeds you don’t click through to

Thinning out your RSS feed gives means that when you read it, you are reading things that you actually care about and want to read.

On the other hand, if you are still building your feed, take some time to subscribe to a few feeds from sites that you regularly visit.
